DETAILS: This game was a product of 2
different Millipede uprights. I had
one game that had a cabinet that was in
pretty decent condition and all the
internals were in perfect shape and working
100%, but the edges of the cabinet had taken
in some moisture over the years and thus
there was the typical "orange-peel" effect
around the side panels' edges. So I
bought another Millipede that had a cabinet
that was in absolutely stunning condition but
with filthy interior parts and a monitor
with some decent burn, so EVERY single part
that was in the game with the
moisture-ridden cabinet went into the one
with the beautiful cabinet.
COSMETIC
RESTORATION: Powder coated the
coin door and coin door parts, applied a
NOS control panel overlay and a
NOS
marquee overlay.
ELECTRICAL REPAIRS/UPGRADES: In
addition to the transfer as detailed above,
I replaced the power cord, the power filter
capacitor, the fluorescent lamp and lamp
starter, the coin door reject button
lamps. and replaced the capacitors on the
Regulator/Audio II board. Also
installed were 2 new optic pcbs for the trak-ball, a new Vision Pro II monitor,
and a Multipede kit that enables switching
from Millipede to Centipede and vice versa
(click on "Braze Technologies" on the Links
page for kit details). Below are some
screenshots.
