Missile Command trackball

Anyone know where I might locate a replacement ball for my Missile Command
trackball? I still have the original ball, but it has gouges all over it.
I haven't yet tried buffing it with a machine, but I'm not convinced that
will work since that might reduce the diameter of the ball too much, if I
buff enough to get the deepest scratches out.
