Battery replacement on Tron

  Here's something that I haven't seen mentioned yet: Where do people
usually put the battery from the PS, when they have replaced it? Or
are the newer packs less susceptible to leaking all over the
place? The leads aren't that long, so w/o adding some length, it'll be
hard to get too far from the PCB. Is just not "upstream" from any
components good enough?
