Re: Dig Dug freeze problem

I like it when help I offer actually "works" - hehe!

I'd like to add my hat to the "Free Play Hack" need. If the game used a
standard leaf switch as a 1 or 2 player start button, I would just stack
another "coin switch" with some fish paper like a pinball machine, but
micro switches prevent that.

I rigged a switch behind the right coin eject to add credits. You just
push the coin eject and a credit is added. When Mark Davidson came over,
he was wondering how I did this and what sort of custom bracket I had used
to accomplish this task. He seemed let down when he saw the thick rebent
paper-clip wire holding a leaf switch in place and kinda moving the wrong
way when the eject is pressed. It's not elegant, but it works.

Free Play would rock though.

Congrats on getting it working! I've had a lot of Dig Dug boards in the
past, but only 2 that worked. I've never had any luck getting a dead one
to work.

Take Care,
