Atari Pong - obfuscation?

I was watching this game show network program on the "history of video
games" or some such title and they had a nice little interview with
Nolan Bushnell. When he started talking about the arcade version of
Pong, he said they (Atari) purposefully mislabeled a chip on the board
so if anyone bootlegged their Pong design the bootleg board wouldn't work.

Not that I have an immediate need for it, but does anyone know which IC?
