Gauntlet: sound issue

  I have a line on a Gauntlet machine (Seattle area) that has only one
major problem according to the seller: the voices don't work. I wanted
to ask the list what kind of repair this is likely to be (board, wiring,
ROM ?), and what a reasonable offer on this machine (w/ problem) would
be. Thanks for your time and help.

        mouse gets the cheese.
