RAM 8 Pole Position

  Hello all,
      Let me start by saying this is a awesone resourse; I thank each and every one of you.
   
  I just purchased a Pole Position (stand up) and after I fixed the power supply the game powers up with RAM 8 on the top of the screen. I don't have a replacement IC so before I buy one, I wanted to ask is it as simple of replacing the IC or should I be looking somewhere else????
