The only justification I can think of for that is that it's a liability
issue; since these are intended for *average* home owners who *don't*
understand the inner workings of these machines, not just for experienced
pinball-machine aficionados like us, they don't want to make it too easy
for people -- especially kids -- to stick their fingers in amongst the
wires and mechanisms, and end up getting themselves shocked or injured.
