Heee hee heee! Oh that's bad. And you know it really IS a Canadian
story too! 8-O ...By this I refer to the Telco story.

One of the teams here works on re-org-ing the subsidiaries that GTE
acquired in various foreign countries to handle the growing demand for
dial-up networking. It's not the one I'm involved with, but the guys
are OK, and we all share what tech. data we need, so conversations do tend
to drift. They spend mucho time in, Canada (where the blazes is Vermouski?),
Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Columbia (although after getting shot
at in Columbia, we're not going back there too bleedin' soon!). The
telcos internationally are of course addressing the growing Internet demand,
and are the logical transport provider for many companies who couldn't
possibly put together an alternate infrastructure.

What a ball it is to get anyone to do anything!
And the sad part of the equation is that: that's really the way it is,
forget that no one person has a clue what the rest of the company actually
does. ("Hey, that's why we hired you! You know how to run a
telco/ISP!")

Now let's talk about the rest of industry, and how different it is from
telcos...
