The Fluke keyboard port provides the +5 and Gnd. Page 7-5 of the 9100
Service Manual (Schematics)<br><br>
1) <u>KBDATA</u> (Inverted and not connected other than to a pull-up
resistor)<br>
2) KBDATA (non-inverted) Serial Data @1200 baud<br>
3) <u>KBRESET</u> Reset signal (Low) to keyboard, keyboard sends some
sort of response back so 9100 'knows'<br>

like there is definitely enough interest for 10-20 units. My
current plan is probably an atmel AT90S2313 or pic 16C84 for brains plus
a MAX232 part as a serial driver. Should be a very small box. I
need to dig out the pinout for the fluke keyboard port and see if I am
going to require an external power source for this and the
keyboard.</font><br>

<font face="arial" size=2>Oh the reason for the probability of the PIC
over the atmel is that I can build a parallel port pic programmer for
next to nothing and have two books on pics. I have nothing on the
atmel parts at this time. I am completely welcome to pointers
though.</font><br>

<font face="arial" size=2>And a couple people asked what I was doing the
schems / layout in. I will be upfront, this is my first
"real" project so up to now I just have hacked my way
through. So ideas there also welcomed :)</font><br>
