I never saw any schematics for this device, other than what I made up to
convert another one I had to Z80.
These can work well as long as the board designer followed the Z80
manufacturers specs and used pull-up resistors on Bus Request and a few
others.
There are at least four CPUs covered in the series, Z80, 8085, 6809 and
another...and it is interesting to watch the device in action, testing
RAM while the game is running in attract mode is quite amusing! However
I must confess these all sit on the shelf as giant dust bunnies as I use
the 9010 instead on the few game boards I still service.
However for field work they would be great, so (quick poll) how many of
us fix 8-bit CPU based devices in the field??
