Vector Pattern Generator

Wasn't someone working on a PIC based XY Pattern generator?
I seem to remember someone on the net that had even posted the
code for it, wouldn't it need both analog and digital outs ? or all the
inputs
to the vectors monitors analog at that point. (Cinimatronics was
digital if I remember..)

Would be really nice to have one.. (Insert plea for clay here!)
