This sounds like the "free play" board would need to be wired to the coin
switches for player 1 and player 2, along with the start player 1, start player
2, and coin lines of the game harness. Sounds like modifying the wiring
harness...

I agree; I like my games to be more "user-friendly". People are less likely to
play the games which they can't figure out how to credit :-)

You're solution is a great overall solution (how I would have loved to have one
of these kits for my roommates Rampage), but for the case of just a Sega XY
solution, I would rather swap 1 or 2 EPROMS than mess with the cabinet wiring
(although the 4-player Eliminator will need it's harness modified regardless of
solution)
