Yeah, that's the description of the 7497 (basically). The schematic in
StarTech Journal is a collection of multiple chips. If you look at some
Asteroids schematics you'll notice that some revs of boards have an
option to replace the 7497's with four PROMs and some misc TTL. I think
that's what the board in question is-- just on a daughtercard instead.
The STJ CD is (as Al has pointed out many times) totally worthless for
being able to read any schematics.
How does this mystery card connect to the Asteroids board? (How many
pins/connections go to the board?)
