Yeah, I have a design done and working. I guess this is as good of time as
any to bring it up again...
The couple times I asked about these it was met with luke-warm response at
best, so I haven't bothered producing any. There seems to be a growing
demand though, so I'll offer up the following:
I can produce replacement 137179's on a small circuit board (about 2"x3")
for $25 each. It's about 12 IC's now. They're surface mount except for
some memory which is DIP.
If people on this list and/or RGVAC will commit to buy at least 40 boards
(total, between everyone) to cover part of my costs I'll go ahead and do all
the work to have a production run made. Whatever boards are "unspoken for"
out of the production run I'll keep and sell off at ~$30/ea over time.
If you'd be interested in buying one (a couple? a few?) please send me an
e-mail stating how many you'd be willing to buy. I'll give it a couple days
and post the results.
