Re: Sources for 2n3792 & 2n3716

One thing I've been doing lately is pulling out the NTE cross-referencing
catalog and looking up the part I need and then try to re-cross-reference
that part number with other parts. For example, the 127-001 transistors
typically found on the 19K6100 monitors are really hard to find now, and
NTE prices are really steep for these little transistors - but I was able
to find a close match for about .22 cents.

What would be nice is if someone were to take ECG or NTEs parts database
and create a function that would allow you to simply put in a part number
and have it return anything that shared the same NTE/ECG number. Of
course, you'd probably run into some copywright issues with using their
database - so I've been trying to think of a way to develop an online
database without being illegal or too time consuming.

Is there such a database that already exists?
