I never seemed to have a problem scrounging one up when I was building
up my collection (my collection is pretty dormant now, there's not
much more I want, and *absolutely* no space for more).

By asking around at the local auction (Fullerton) I'd could usually
find someone, or someone who knew someone, that would trade me for
fixing something, or better yet, cash! (I hate working on other
people's stuff!)

Like I said, don't use me as an example, maybe $550 is not
unreasonable for a new X/Y monitor!
