Get Well Kits on eBay?

What's with these get well kits on eBay. For example:

Are these parts truly the most common to go bad? Are these kits a good thing
to get? Are all these parts available and at a reasonable cost? I know Bob
sells some of them, but what about those "hard to find" ones?
