Major Havoc board differences?

Can anyone say for sure if there are any differences in the Major Havoc
boards for a Space Duel and Tempest conversion (other than the interface
board)?

The line here on the difference between the conversion and the dedicated
boards was the crystal speed because of the dedicated using a roller and a
conversion using a spinner. What if you found a dedicated Major Havoc CP
and had a conversion boardset, would you only have to change out the
crystal, i.e., is this all it takes to convert a conversion board back to a
dedicated?

I ask this because as crazy as this sounds, I think I found someone that
says he has a dedicated MH CP. But he says he doesn't want to give it up
because, "I'm using it for some other games". What other games would the
roller work properly for? I have to admit, I don't believe him (that he has
it), but he says he'd trade it if I had something he wanted.
