When I turn up the brightness to see the normal vectors, the retrace vectors
are visible but slightly dimmer. I have adjusted both brightness and
contrast until my eyes felt like they would pop out of my head... nothing
seems to be a happy medium. In test mode, the retrace lines are also
visible.
