G'day folks,
Being in the middle of a SD->MH conversion, I'm quite interested in this
thread.
I've already installed a Tempest spinner, and I've had about the same
results as one of the other posters mentioned. It's slow and tough to play
MH. My understanding is that the Tempest encoder wheel is the culprit.
So below James says that I can use a Centipede (midi?) encoder wheel to get
the correct performance from my Tempest spinner? I'm assuming that the opto
board can be adjusted for the different sized encoder wheel.

ps - I'd like a whole roller if someone's taking votes. Then my Tempest
spinner could be just for my SD->Tempest conversion instead of having to do
double duty with SD->MH also.

Right:
James also said the the encoder disk and pcb were stolen straight off of
an old Centipede trackball, nothing else done to them. Seems pretty
straight forward.
