Absolutely he (Gregg) did.

Yes (Gregg and others). Not to mention Jon Raifords lovely 25" hybrid
Major Havoc monitor.

If your talking Gregg's original hybrid, it was the tube & yoke out of
an amplifone 19" mated with the boards out of a WG6100. The plastic tip
off of a WG6100 (19VLUP22) tube (preferrably a dead one) had to be
swaped with the typical raster style tip on the amplifone tube so that
the WG6100 neck pcb would fit on the amplifone (M48AAW00X, et al) tube.
Alternatively, I think the WG6100 neck pcb could be hacked with the
socket off of a Electrohome G07 (or other) neck board if no 19VLUP22
tips are available. (I haven't tried this hack yet, but hope to soon).

More on yokes. If you're trying to build a 19" hybrid with a 19VLUP22
tube you will most likely have to use the WG6100 yoke in order to get
proper convergence, since both are designed for a 100 degree deflection
angle. If using any other 19" tube, you will most likely have to use
the amplifone yoke. It was designed for the 90 degree deflection angle
present with most 19" tubes. Alternatively, if building a 25" hybrid
you will need to use the WG6100 yoke. I believe most 25" tubes are 100
degree tubes so the WG6100 yoke is a must. As an interesting tidbit,
Jon Raiford's project got me a little curious about which yoke was used
in the original 25" amplifones. I visited Rex Nelson's and was shocked
to see both of his original 25" amplifones sporting the *exact* same
yoke used in the 19" WG6100. Yes, believe it or not - Jon Raiford
stumbled on the perfect hack: the original part! Kudos! ;-) This
opens the door to making the restoration of a 19" Star Wars Cockpit to
it's former 25" glory a fairly routine project for anyone willing to
shell out for a Wintron, 25" tube, amplifone boards, and WG6100 yoke.

Don't know about the Atari med res raster, but I do know the WG4900
series medium res used a M48AAW00X tube (same as amplifone vector).
