Peter,

    The answer is yes. I do this all of the time when repairing Tempest
boards. You will get the error codes for all of the Aux board functions
(EPQ M) and the spinner won't work, but it will come up in test mode. You
can also still use the slam switch to cycle through the test screens.

Can someone tell me if the self test on Tempest will run (well display
the video side of things) with out the Aux board.  I know that
Battlezone only requires the AVG board and i'm wondering if Tempest is
the same.
