Motorola made the MCR100-3. Specs are:
Current: .8 amps maximum
Maximum case temperature: 58 degree Celsius
Voltage: 100 volts maximum
ITSM (one cycle max. current at 60 Hz): 10 amps
Gate current: .2 amps (minimum to guarantee triggering)
Gate voltage: .8 volts
Minimum junction temperature: -65 degrees Celsius
Maximum junction temperature: 110 degrees Celsius
Package: TO-92
Package material: plastic
Other parts with identical characteristics are 2N5062, BRX46, and BRY55-100.
Other parts with identical characteristics (except for 200 volt rating) are
2N5064, BRX47, BRY55-200, and MCR100-4.
Other parts with identical characteristics (except for 400 volt rating) are
BRX49, BRY55-400, and MCR100-6.
At 500 volts is BRY55-500 and at 600 volts is BRY55-600 and MCR100-8.
1.2 amp parts are C205A (100 volts), C205B (200 volts), and C205B (400 volts).
1.5 amp parts are MCR22-3 (100 volts), MCR22-4 (200 volts), MCR22-6 (400
volts), and MCR22-8 (600 volts).
All the above assume you stick with the same case and gate current sensitivity.
Cross referencing data for MCR100-3 is to use the NTE5402, ECG5402, SK3638, or
Radio Shack 276-1067. This Radio Shack number may be discontinued, you would
have to ask at a store.
According to
http://www.radioshack.com/ProductCatalog/ProductListing/Index/1,2094,CTLG_010_005_006_001,00.html
they actually sell the MCR100-3 as 900-3120 for $.31 and the higher voltage
(400 volt) MCR100-6 as 900-3121 for $.30 and the 600 volt MCR100-8 as 900-3122
for $.33 These are available by phone or on-line, but not in stores. Sort of
interesting that the 400 volt part is the cheapest---probably bought in higher
quantities.
At

they will even sell you the ECG5402 (since when do they sell ECG??) for $1.12
(Another cross reference question beaten mercilessly into the ground by Rodger
Boots---sorry about that, guys).
