In fact, I'm going to lay down the "law" hardcore right now:

I've been hearing private complaints from other listmembers about the
relatively low signal to noise ratio on the list lately. I so far have
unsubscribed two people for repeated violations. It's time we follow the
list rules so here it is again:

* If you have something for auction, put FA: in the subject line
* If you have something for sale, put FS: in the subject line
* If you have something you want to buy or trade, put WTB: and WTT: in the
  subject line
* If your post has no vector related content, don't post it on the vector
  list. Tools and parts are only allowed if it has vector game
  application.
* If you want to follow up to someone from a FA:, FS:, or WTB:/WTT: post,
  *DO IT PRIVATELY*. Do *NOT* follow up to the list unless it has a wide
  audience appeal.
* Do *NOT* bitch about eBay (even though it sucks lots and lots sometimes)
* Never cuss at others (different from just plain cussing, which is OK to
  a point)
* No personal attacks
* Do not debate or discuss list rules on the list

IF ANYONE VIOLATES THE RULES ABOVE, IT'S IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT
UNSUBSCRIPTION - NO WARNINGS! I'VE GIVEN TOO MANY OF THEM ALREADY!

And for the one or two of you who want to mire me down in excruciating
details to write a 47 page list of rules and regulations, forget it. I
base my decisions on what is and is not appropriate on personal judgement
and input from others. We're all adults here, and you all know the spirit
of the list rules. If you can't tell what is or isn't allowed, ask me.

Let's keep this the best list we possibly can.
