Re: omega race

The clicking usually means the board is watch-dogging.
Try changing the RAM, CPU and verifying the eproms are good.
Beyond that, you'll need to find out what is hanging up the CPU by doing some
more serious debugging.

I have an Omega Race cockpit that SURPRISE doesn't work.

The boards have very minimum battery damage, (the usual caps and resisters,
and the 3 chips whick have been replaced in the area of the battery)
When the game is turned on, the coin counter will click over and over (
about 5 times a sec ), the player1/player2 start led's will flash constantly
and the screen shows one spot on the screen in the top left. The monitor
works (had in asteroids) and the power inputs measure OK. Also no sound.
Any Ideas?
