Do you get normal game sounds? I would recommend that you unplug the
monitor during further tests to avoid blowing output transistors...This
does sound like either a monitor problem (I would be removing the monitor
motherboard and resoldering ALL the pin connectors) or an output problem on
the "Y" axis, check with a scope to see if you get a normal output on the
test points for the X and Y axis, put the board into self test so you get a
stable signal. The most common failure in my experience with the outputs is
the CMOS switch, followed by the op-amps, and the DACs last to be substituted
