Tempest monitor glass

Hi guys,

I can buy a Tempest with the monitor glass missing (you knoe, the dark, smoked
glass). AFAIK, the European models used plexiglass windows and the Amserican
used real glass. Is this right?

How easy is it to get a nice match of the color at the local glass shop? Is this
smoked glass common or has Atari used a 'custom' shade of dark glass?

Furthermore, Is there a good way to replace the cardboard monitor bezel? Did
domeone successfully made one himself?
