It _may_ be all right, in those conditions, but personally I wouldn't
recommend it; you can never tell when something unforseen might happen.
Besides, tempered glass isn't all _that_ expensive; a tempered-glass top
for my PHOENIX cocktail cost me about $55, vs. about $30 for standard
glass.
