Repairs I've seen use a small dab of glue from a glue gun.

Subject: VECTOR: Gluing trace repair wires

I have a couple Asteroids boards that need trace repair work done to them.
(As a result of some previous hacking done by a prior owner.) One board I
am working with in particular needs a repair that would require 3-4" of wire
to connect the end points. I am concerned that a length of wire that long
might be easily damaged or pulled away from the board if it wasn't handled
properly. Some of the boards that come from the factory with jumper wires
seem to have a small bead of glue to keep them attached to the board. Does
anyone know what this glue is or have a recommendation of what to use that
would adhere to the PCB?

Thanks,
-Chris
