The preference around here seems to be some type of superglue (Locktite
401). Then they hit it with an instant curing spray (Locktite 712). I
suppose it's a lot faster than hot-melt or silicone glues. I usually just
use hot-glue. Even if the board is clean though, hot glue can pop off if
it's bumped in cold weather unless it has something that it's "looped"
through (like a resistor, or IC legs, or something).
(Fun safety tip-- if you're using "superglue", don't melt it with your
soldering iron. ;-)
