Hi,
This extensive list of changes caused me to breifly wonder why not
just make a PC version with all the features. Then I remembered what
mailing list I'm reading :-) Then I wondered:
Anyone think a ray-traced BZ for the PC would be a good idea? I've been
working on some serious realtime raytracing (RTRT) and I'm getting to
the point of wanting an actual game project to do. I'd need to consider
what value RT brings to BZ. You could have reflective tanks, or now
that I think of it a glass tank with proper refractive properties...
I'm thinking there really isn't much value added and this is probably
straying off topic too... But I'll still be thinking about it. Is
there any way to grab actual 3D tank geometry out of BZ ??? I'd like
to render a couple just for grins. Or are they just 2D shapes scaled
to size?
