The little connector has to be flipped to work properly in a Tempest - Yes, with the adapter. You may need to cut a cable tie on the Tempest to flip the connector, but it does work. I have tested my MH board in a Tempest this way. Works fine.

hmm.. interesting. I had a working MH boardset (complete video/audio) working in my dedicated. Brought it over to my friend's house and used the conversion board for my friend's ccoktail tempest. That board did show it's video properly on his cocktail (although the audio didn't work). The other boards didn't show video so i assumed that since the working board did work in his, that these other ones would as well... but they could be older revs. HOwever, one of the boards I did test, I tested in my Major Havoc dedicated and they appeared to perform the same (ie. no video).

But, thanks for future reference. I will bring my other 2 non-video working boards home to test for sure. Any other ideas on the no video problem?

  THanks a bunch.
  Cheers

Know of anyone like this for Major Havoc? I have 2 boards working (sounds, appear to play everything), but spot killer and no video.. It's killing me.. Changed the Tl092cp and Q6 & Q7 (2N3904 & 2N3906) as well as the 2N3906 & 2N3904 per each color (RGB) base-collector conigration transistors... still nothing... don't know where to go from here.. some help? Anybody? :-)

Are you testing these boards in a Tempest cabinet? The wiring may be too different. If you've got an X/Y scope, you can see if you're getting any signals there. But I tried recently to test a MH board in a Tempest cabinet and didn't get any video, either. I've seen an adapter board that lets you interface a MH board to a Tempest, but it didn't work with the early-version MH board I had.
