This is why I have tossed around the idea of making sets of roms to test the DVG & AVG. Lack of time or knowledge of 6502's prevents me. I figure it should be possible to execute sets of vector commands that exercise each chip or sub circuits within the vector generator and use the VSM halt to pass back a success (a watchdog would represent a fail). I'm guessing its possible, but I haven't worked out the details yet.
