We will certainly give updates as they are set in stone.. We have been in
talks with the exploritorium, and plenty of other museums, including one
in Syracuse, NY (not too far from buffalo?). In big cities we'll always
get a nice large 4-8k sqft space with controlled lighting and ample
power for the summer.. When going to smaller cities in the off-season,
often the museum doesn't get high traffic and likes to place their
exhibits in a mall. Its actually kinda of nice once in a while. in a mall
space we'll have a nice accessable area we can set aside for storage and
repair.. In big museums we don't really have any space of our own for
setting up a tech bench, etc. I think it looks kinda neat in a low celing,
cramped space, more like an arcade.. And we can play 80's music too :)
They both have pro's and cons but VT was designed for large museums.
Actually I really like the idea of a webcam.. I'll have to look into that!
