I had a similar problem (dim picture) in a cinematronics Star Castle
and after checking everything on the monitor I could think of and not
finding anything wrong I swapped tubes with a G-05 and it was nice and
bright. If it's a 19" you could probably easily swap in a b/W t.v. tube
(which you can get for next to nothing at thrift stores). This is really
easy to do with B/W tubes (no purity or convergence problems like on
color tubes). If you can't find anything wrong with the chassis it might
be worth a try.
