If the drive still spins, but has a corrupted file system, there are some
shareware products that might help save it. I have had mixed success with
this on past occasions...There is(might be? I don't know your operating
system) a second file system buried on the drive that these programs can
access. At least that was the case with DOS, what you would get is the
previous file system so a few files are lost...
