Hi there,

Examine the down/up counters (X - C9, D9, E9:Y - F9, H9, J9) or multiplexers
(X - C10, D/E10, E10: Y - A10, B/C10, F/H10), Latch(X/Y - F10), in the
order shown and see if you have some success. I had similar symptoms on a
number of different boards (all different symptoms, but the same culprits).

Andy

Update:
I now have a small AVI of the display anomaly (2.8megs) I've been scratching
my head on this one of months and can not fix it:(

Old Post:
Has anybody seen this, were the rocks are small points on the screen and the
ship is a small line but the text is fine and so is the cross hatch in the
test mode, also happening is that is all canned actions (static) i.e.
ships and rock exploding and shots are correct. What controls the
calculations of the rocks, is it the AVG of some sort, bad (Vector) ram or
??? I have also swapped out the prom, ROMs, and the 6502a w/a working
asteroids board. In test mode there are no errors on the board.

P.s. It looks like Vectrex Minestorm.

Thanx
