Remember to be careful about the HV anode connected to the picture tube
MIGHT have a rather large CHARGE! SO I would carefully discharge the tube
BEFORE attempting to solder anything. Now in this case the HV diode is a
press fit into the two rubber plugs on the red HV lead. I don't think it
was soldered. Just carefully press the ends back on to the HV diode, and
make sure to wipe the red HV lead to make sure there is no guck that might
be conductive as well.
