I have-not actually tried to use my vecrex yet, I am looking for my asteroids-deluxe pcb to connect it to.

I dont think the tube can cause the problems you are having, it may be a side-effect of the spotkiller circuits.
(but there is no way i would recomend over-riding it!!!!)

when i get my aseroids pcb hooked-up i will check the problem wih a scope.

Btw. the cinematronics interface is on spies, BUT i remember hearing something about the atari monitors not allways being fastenough!
I may be thinking of sega g80 games, but there was definatly a speed problem somewhere.
