This sounds like a bad ground connection. Take a close look at the edge
connector for signs of overheating on the ends of the edge connector at the
MPU. This problem will return until you find the cause. Also check the
connections at the regulator board, the primary blue filter cap, the plugs
scattered around the cabinet that have the thicker wires....
