RE: Finally: Cosmic Chasm

        I finally got a Cosmic Chasm. It does not have a monitor, is
untested, but
        came with a known working boardset.

        Where/how did you find it ?

        I plan on using a stock G08-003 monitor in place of the G08-005/CC0
monitor
        that normally comes with a Cosmic Chasm. I believe the G08-005/CC0
monitor
        uses a med-res tube. Can someone tell me the tube number?

        Mine has that version of monitor in it. When I get home I'll take a
look
        And let you know what I find out.

        The power supply looks...well...interesting :-). I am considering
not even
        messing with it and simply using a switching power supply and a
stock G08
        transformer from a Sega XY. Any thoughts/opinions on this decision?
Any
        help in this arena would be appreciated.

        Ditto - The power supply was the first to be replaced due to
        the fact it was badly water damaged. I used a standard Sega XY
        transformer to power the monitor and after some time looking I found
        a switcher with the appropriate voltages. Most switchers lack the
amps
        on the negative side, but from what I remember the one I used had
        1.8 Amps on both the +/- @ either 15 or 18 Volts and then the
typical
        stuff on the 5v side. I may have even purchased a spare. I'll get
the
        exact details tonight as well.
