I think your both missing the point, why use an obsolete microcontroller
and a quad dac, when we can probably find a 'modern' pic with fast built-in dacs.
also, why use a OTP microcontroller when a FLASH one would be better for developement.

I am going to try to workout what quad-dac he intended to use and check the specs of it.
