        Have you tried changing your diagnostic code to run an AAh/55h or a
walking-bit (00h/01h/02h/04h/08h/10h/20h/40h/80h) pattern? If you've got
data lines shorted together somehow, either by a failure in one of the
buffer chips or by a solder ball, you won't be able to see it with an
00h/FFh test.
