There is a very serious problem with the original power supply for Star
Trek (and all other Sega Vector games) and that is if the Molex pins
overheat you would get failure of either ground or +5 and this can often
take out the monitor at the same time. I really recommend replacing the
power supply with a computer grade supply and also wiring the monitor AC
power through a 12VDC relay so if the power supply fails the monitor power
is cut at the same time.
