Has anybody used a BU408D to replace a BU406D??

Hello,

     I ran into someone who might be able to get a crapload of these - has
anyone ever used a BU408D to replace a BU406D?? I know they were used on the
Amplifone raster monitors, but wasn't sure if they might be suitable for
vector...
Any input will be appreciated.
