According to Owen Ruben, who furnished me with details of the early Atari
Forth-based game creation hardware (thanks Owen), the 'white box' and 'blue
box' was a processor and memory emulation piece of kit, which has the very
useful function of being pausable so you could examine the contents of the
memory.
Anyone heard of the 'white box and 'blue box'? One day I'm gonna make one.
They're out there somewhere...
