Granted I haven't seen that many Amplifone monitors, but the ones I've
seen were REALLY spread out. The deflection board was mounted to one
side of the cabinet and the HV was on the other side. Mounted this way
it probably didn't matter if the cage was there. If everything was
mounted close (like a regular monitor) it would make a difference.
