I do now see the section in the faq which says that my -24V output may
be as low as -36V if I have the 5w 50ohm resistors added. I must have skipped
it when I first read it -- yes, I was following steps 1-11, I though I alluded
to that in my original post.

I was thrown off by the photo of the underside of the board (which has the
resistors installed), where the test points are labelled +30, -30, +24 and -24.

Also, I was concerned because my regulated output = unregulated input = -36V.

I'm not seeing an input of -30V and an output of -36V as you allude to above.

Anyways, I'm guessing all is well.
