Battlezone pt 2:

1) Is there any possible reason for haveing a diode between +15 and gnd ?
Black band to +15 ?

Someone put one on this board, a 1n-270, from one of the holes where the
X-size pot should go to the gound plane.

As expected, removeing it had no effect on the operation.

2) In the manual, CR11 calls for a 1n-100, however my board has a 1n-270 in
that location.
I'm trying to see if they are actually compatible -- I found a datasheet for
the 270, but can't find one for the 1n-100
